Well, I've read reviews that people don't like the smell or that this product is too greasy, but honestly I only use it for those reasons. I have thick Hispanic wavy hair and use it to make it less stubble and easier to manage. I use it instead of argan oil and/or conditioner. (If you use both conditioner and this product your hair may get oily/oily.) Also, for my personal taste, I LOVE the SMELL! It has that old fashioned "clean barbershop" smell/atmosphere that I've always loved. It might not be for everyone, but I'm looking forward to it. It's not very expensive, so I recommend anyone who has doubts to try it. The old ad from the 50's "a little dab is good for you" is very true! Don't expect to use a handful as if you were using hair gel. Simply apply a dime-sized amount or less and massage into hair. Then I comb my hair and apply another small stroke of a medium to heavy hold lipstick. Buff it with a little water and it works like magic for my hair! It adds shine and a "healthy look" to my hair, along with pomade to keep it in either a pompadour or a wavy "smooth back" variation. My hair feels very clean and healthy and smells very clean - again I only recommend using a small amount.
