My parents have a Swedish cheese slicer that is very similar to this one. He's over 20 years old and still going strong. I also decided to find one for myself. And that's exactly what it is. This is an excellent quality cheese cutter for hard cheeses such as swiss cheese, cheddar and others. It's easy to use, safe, and slices cheese thinly. I love this product. It's also dishwasher safe. I've had it for a year and a half and it's still holding up. When I got it it was $11, now it's $7. If it ever breaks I will buy it a hundred times more.
