Ideal for slicing long soft cheeses

Ideal for slicing softer cheeses such as Colby, Monterey Jack etc. Cheese slicers with longer tips always get stuck. That's not to say it's not as good as the old Fiskars short shank cheese slicer (which isn't sold anywhere else) as the angle of the cutting blade isn't perfect, but it *really* cuts better than other short shank slicers. we tried it.

Works perfectly! in slices of cheese

I bought it although it has no reviews yet, I don't usually do that. But it was a good deal, so I decided it was worth the risk. And wow, I was pleasantly surprised! Works really well with hard cheeses that I bought to slice. The only thing I can say (but this is not necessarily a minus, but more for info) is a little less than I expected, but nothing significant. It costs money. I am happy!

  • Excellent design

REALLY NO GRINDER - MORE STRUNGER

I love the Linden cheese slicers I have which are easy so I was very happy when I saw this product. However, it's not actually shredded and shouldn't be advertised as such - it basically makes strands of cheese, so you'll need to do some extra work to get them into a shredded state. The dollar store shredder suited my needs better - you can cook :-) We are always looking for the best mousetrap. And who knows, if you're reading this, don't choke on the fact that I call myself a chef.

Excellent cheese slicer

My parents have a Swedish cheese slicer that is very similar to this one. He's over 20 years old and still going strong. I also decided to find one for myself. And that's exactly what it is. This is an excellent quality cheese cutter for hard cheeses such as swiss cheese, cheddar and others. It's easy to use, safe, and slices cheese thinly. I love this product. It's also dishwasher safe. I've had it for a year and a half and it's still holding up. When I got it it was $11, now it's $7. If it…

Better than a hand grater, better than a rotary grater. Really great.

I also bought a regular Linden cheese slicer and it's really great. I've never tried the chopper version and it's a gratin (intended). If you want to grate cheese, you usually need a grater. Micro-lamella graters are too small for coarsely grated cheese (e.g. for sprinkling on pancakes or pizza). Therefore, you should use a rotary mill (moving parts for cleaning) or a regular grater (more cleaning). This tool gives you coarse crumbs, but takes up little space in the dishwasher and gets the job…

GREAT cut for hard cheese! Why did it take so long to find this!

Having bought NUMEROUS cheese slicers over the years, I have to say that some of the comments from others made me buy this cut and "try it". I like to buy cheddar cheese in blocks. (as well as Colby cheese). Previous food slicers have only disappointed me because they simply did not meet my expectations for a light and convenient food slicer. I've used wire cutters, which break easily, knives said to be made for hard cheese, and various other slicers. All of this disappointed me. But this one…
