Purchased this primarily for the case because I couldn't find one to hold pencils I already have and this case with supplies was cheaper than an empty case. I just started taking painting and drawing classes so I can't say I'm an expert but I do like this case and pencils. My teacher recommends Royal & Langnickel pencils. Case straps are tight and holds the supplies well. Decent beginner set, has everything I need for class right now.
