Review on 🕯️ Enhance your Home Décor with our Window Candle with Light Sensor - Orange Flame and Pewter Base (FPC1225P) by Alexis Bishop

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poorly made, too dark and requires USB batteries

They look very cheap and very poorly made. I bought 5 and one broke in the first season; I heard something is dangling inside. I was able to open it up (which required removing the adhesive as they couldn't even do something as simple as adding screws to make it easy to attach), find the loose part and re-solder it to make it work, but there it is it's not why they have to be made so cheaply. There are really simple things they can do with very simple electronics and wires inside to make them last 10x longer. Yes, and they look cheap and fake. The lights need to be brighter, or at least have a few brightness settings, because when they're in a window, even next to a tree, they're barely visible. If you put them in a dark room, the brightness is fine (still a bit dim in my opinion). You really need rechargeable batteries, ie. USB that you can easily plug in to charge. In the 21st century, we shouldn't waste disposable batteries on Christmas decorations. The light sensor is great in that it turns on and off automatically throughout the day. But that means they run all night, which means single-use batteries will drain even faster. You only need a light sensor to turn them on and then turn them off with a timer, for example after 4, 6, 8 or 10 hours. Finally, the flicker setting is very artificial with a very noticeable pattern. It's very easy to make something more random, like a real flame. Either you let it flicker very realistically, or you just keep it steady. All in all I definitely wouldn't buy them if given a second chance. Unfortunately, there isn't much quality electronic window candle material out there. It's all very cheap and cheap, made in China with no regard for durability or workmanship.
