My first project when I retired was building a great dedicated home theater system. After completing the room, I tried many different speakers. The Polk Signature Series sounds better and outperforms other brands that cost a lot more! Polks speakers feature a tweeter that's made of a softer material than most other brands, producing a richer, fuller, and less harsh sound. I chose the S20 bookshelf speakers for the left and right fonts (after trying towers from others) and this center channel fits perfectly. Dialogues are clear and understandable. The speakers need about 30-40 hours of use to break in; I wasn't immediately impressed but now they sound great! Also, all of my Polk speakers (2 bookshelf, 4 in-ceiling, 2 surround) cost less than a single tower from most other companies I've reviewed.
