The voice precision of the S30 sounds slightly better than the S35

I have both Polk S30 and S35. The Polk S30 is used in my home theater with a projector and the S35 with a panel TV. The vocal fidelity of the S30 sounds slightly better than that of the S35. The difference is imperceptible, especially when mixed with S50/60. Both center speakers work great with the S50/60. The S30 also has a better soundstage than the S35 and is less dependent on listening position. Where space allows, the S30 is better suited to a home theater system than the S35, which uses a

Revain's exchange rules are unbeatable. They will make you happy.

I received my Polk S30, no external damage but was only able to connect it after a month. Spring. it did not work. I experienced internal cable breaks at another company. So I opened it up and the crossover was kinked at the junction. Caught. I just took my phone, looked through my orders and found it, saw I managed to return it and set it up for a refund. As soon as I did that, Revane immediately sent another. Replacing it with a new one was sooooo easy and the delivery was very fast. The new…

S30 outperforms S35 on deep male vocals

Works better than S35 for less money. The S35 sounds limited at low bass frequencies in large rooms at high volumes. It's like you're putting it through a narrow tube. The s30 has an unrestricted low-end and deep basses, like deep male voices, sound airy and open. It doesn't look as stylish as the s35, and the s35 isn't sluggish compared to other hubs, but falls short of the s30's larger drivers. A note on combining with large turrets, the S35 appears to be wider. however, creates a slight gap…

IF you are a music lover, don't buy this!

Don't get me wrong, the speaker itself sounds great for the money. Pretty decent sound but surprisingly supposed "hi-fi" tweeter, no hi-fi at all. It sounds harsh, ringing and doesn't play the crystal clear hi-fi recordings that a hi-fi tweeter should have. I was very surprised that my cheaper Pioneer Andrew Jones center channel sounded better than this more expensive speaker. Also the "sound box" that a speaker of this size is supposed to reproduce isn't very good, it sounds boomy and tiny…

Great sound very clear dialogue

My first project when I retired was building a great dedicated home theater system. After completing the room, I tried many different speakers. The Polk Signature Series sounds better and outperforms other brands that cost a lot more! Polks speakers feature a tweeter that's made of a softer material than most other brands, producing a richer, fuller, and less harsh sound. I chose the S20 bookshelf speakers for the left and right fonts (after trying towers from others) and this center channel…

Clear dialogue, great center

Added S30 as center channel in 5.1 setup. I have an old Yamaha HTR 5830 that was part of HTIB about 15 years ago and they replaced the small satellites and center with a Polk S55. Everything is much clearer and more detailed, I am very satisfied. Sure, it's not hard to hear a massive improvement over my old setup, but the Yamaha receiver puts out a good performance and drives these Polks pretty well. I still have the old Yamaha subwoofer and 2 soon to be updated surround satellites plus a brand

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Don't remind me

I have been pairing a Sony SSCS8 center speaker with Polk S55 towers for a year. I was mostly happy with the Sony speaker. Since I liked my S55 towers, I chose the Polk S30 center channel. I've had him for about 2 months now. I mainly watch Netflix movies. And I was initially very disappointed with the Polk S30. Male voices (especially male bass voices) are unclear. The autocorrect software on my receiver has improved things but is still not satisfactory. Sony's center speaker handled the wider
