Works better than S35 for less money. The S35 sounds limited at low bass frequencies in large rooms at high volumes. It's like you're putting it through a narrow tube. The s30 has an unrestricted low-end and deep basses, like deep male voices, sound airy and open. It doesn't look as stylish as the s35, and the s35 isn't sluggish compared to other hubs, but falls short of the s30's larger drivers. A note on combining with large turrets, the S35 appears to be wider. however, creates a slight gap in the LCR soundstage. The s30 seems to project a slightly narrower image but blends more organically with my s60s. For large rooms where high performance is required, Tower and S30 should be preferred.
