Does what it's supposed to: Update

I've had this scale for a couple of weeks now (just over a month). I think it's pretty accurate, but I haven't had time to test it myself. If so, I'll let you know later. UPDATE: Checked for accuracy and my device meets the standard. In general, the device works and comes with a battery. So a few questions. I probably shouldn't have bought a scale with a steel top. The surface is worn and scratched by metal bowls or pots placed on it. It's best to use an all-glass top if you're concerned about that, or don't have rubber-bottomed bowls. I'd rather scrape the bottom of a bowl or pan than a scale. Finally, the device does not work well with water. While I don't think there have been any waterproof claims, it's a shame that the buttons are hard to press when your fingers are a bit damp. This is actually quite common as you will likely be washing your hands several times while cooking and towels are not always available/convenient. Otherwise I had no problems with weights.
