The Epson printer is highly selective about having its own brand cartridges as I discovered by trying to use E-Z Ink refurbished ones. Printer wouldn't accept them. It also has 5 different color and black cartridges, and if one runs out, the printer won't print, so it is wise to have replacements on hand. Printer ink is one of the most valuable liquids on earth, hence, its high price. Or it is high priced because they can. I trust when the printer decides it needs a cartridge that these will work as intended.
