I bought this to install an exterior door in an unfinished basement. My son has set up a small office there and it can get pretty cold here in winter. I was there the other day and noticed that you can see a tiny streak of light on the side where the doorknob and lock are. I felt a slight draft from that area. I've never used silicone detergents, but the reviews for them have been better than the other types I've used. Now that I've used it, I definitely understand why. This silicone strip is easy to cut, flexible and very strong. I couldn't believe how easy the installation was. Before you begin, make sure you actually clean the area you plan to stick it to for the best possible adhesion. The adhesive on this peeler is from 3M so you know you're getting the best adhesive in the range. Even though it's 3M, I like to heat it up a bit before installing it to ensure the best possible adhesion. The better the adhesion, the longer it lasts. The 16 foot roll completely covered my entire exterior door with a small scrap that I save in case a piece comes loose later. I am impressed with the quality and effectiveness of this stripper. My son said he could see a big temperature difference in his office. I will definitely be buying more to cover the windows in the unfinished basement.
