Very easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning. I had a regular plastic coaster with a kitchen towel underneath and the ridges on the bottom plastic become rough and difficult to clean. This one is easy to disassemble, not difficult to clean, and has a drain that you can pull out and twist to drain water down the sink, no matter which side of the sink you place it on. I like the two tier style. I don't have to stop washing and hand drying certain dishes to make room, that's enough! Like the special knife slots in the utensil holder, this reduces the risk of accidentally catching a knife on the blade or cutting yourself. There are transparent rubber hoses on the legs to keep it from slipping and dirtying the counter. It's also good to know that if you're buying it as a gift, it will come in the box that comes with the product (not the Revain box) and the contents are clearly shown on the outside.
