Glad I chose these elastic straps. The straps are similar to stretchy paracord, but aren't so stretchy that they lose their shape throughout the day. The strap is not very long (about 23 inches including clips) so you may want to see if that length fits your neck/head. I take the mask off several times during the workday so it stays on me and is easily accessible. Don't drop the mask on the floor or put it in the wrong place. If you're the type who spills food on yourself while eating, you may need to be careful not to spill food on it when wearing it around your neck, or simply place the mask around the back of your neck while eating. The adjustable switch and elastic straps make it easy to extend the mask's straps so you can wear it around your head instead of over your ears. This relieves your ears when you wear a mask during your school or work day. My son wore it to school and I wore it to work and the straps are definitely part of our everyday COVID wear.
