***UPDATE*** Still a classic in my opinion! In the last year there have been an endless number of washes with no problems! The same shape, without protruding threads. It's a shame to see these bad reviews because kids love these blankets. Just know I live in North Carolina when I say heavy blanket and our house isn't freezing. This blanket is for his crib, not for going outside. I recommend you to make an investment. Revain rocks if you don't like it. We love him to this day. I will buy it again as a birthday gift! ***** ORIGINAL REVIEW 08/2015 ************ This is a must have classic. The front is warm and the back is silky. The cold areas are thus reflected in blue towards the front. neutral temperatures fold onto the back silk. My oldest son has something similar and loves it. It's like a light blanket and a heavy blanket in one. Also very classy. I wasn't too happy with $18 but it's worth it. To be honest, I might buy another one to keep "just in case".
