The cable is fine. It transmits sound with about the high fidelity that most people need. It is 2 meters long as advertised. I'm only giving it two tries, however, because after having owned it for less than a year, the usual twisting of the cable end that occurs when I pick up my iPod and change songs eventually caused the rubber sleeve to come loose and the cable itself to break after that soon. It's a shame that you suddenly have to rely on the radio after an hour's drive. But so far it has been a good product.
