The product description says "wireless". While this is technically correct as there are no wires, "wireless" in the 21st century means RF technology rather than line-of-sight infrared technology. I like the lights themselves and they do everything as advertised but the remote control is terrible. This only works if you point directly at the light. Most of the time when you have multiple lights, one or more is not aligned properly to receive a signal. Just trying to sync two lights is incredibly difficult. As for installing under the cabinet. If, like most kitchen cabinets, you have a recessed bottom, the remote control for these devices most likely will not work at all. Super disappointed.
