Someone was wondering about the wires on this thing... Let's get that straight. First, if you're using it through your laptop's USB-C port, which can carry DisplayPort and therefore power... one cable, you're done. If you have HDMI, the next thing you need is an HDMI mini cable and USB power. Again, this thing comes with an A-to-C cable and a brick for it, or you can use a C-to-C cable if you can wire it that way. Depending on the port, your computer may not be providing power to the display, so there is an AC adapter if needed. It's not trying to be confusing, it's trying to ensure that all the cables you need to get it working are within reason in the box. This isn't an attempt to be blunt or confusing, it's just that the standards are far-reaching and inconsistent, requiring the display (and other devices) to have a bunch of cables to compensate. I wanted to try and take pictures of it, but... what? I haven't done my laptop or this screen any favors. The screen looks really good. A few years ago I would have said it was very good. And that's because it looks like an IPS display from a few years ago. Nowadays you can have displays with higher contrast ratios, complex local dimming and the potential for good high-level HDR... it's not that small 14-inch screen. But it looks good and is a bit smaller and lighter than the slightly older 15.6-inch screen I was using, which means the picture is a bit sharper. Response time is decent, but this isn't a high refresh rate display. Suitable for relatively portable gaming in most older games at 60Hz. This pairs well with an upscaler for retro gaming and PCs, and is relatively easy to transport with all that old gear. Yes, it's not a CRT screen for that authentic feel, but an LCD and a good upscaler are a lot easier to pack. It's also handy for connecting to a mirrored laptop for impromptu training sessions during tech support (that's at work), and as a highly portable screen that can be tucked into a PC troubleshooting tool bag. It has a magnetic lid that doesn't stay closed but stays folded to the open position. The magnet keeps the lid on the screen well, but not great. That works well enough. Finally, the landscape orientation screen is placed in a clip that can hold the portrait orientation tablet and mount it on a tripod or light stand. With some other photography gear I have lying around right now, I can attach a rig to my desk that will keep this monitor where I want it... it can be really helpful when streaming! of "practical" uses, which is why I took it. The larger of these things may be useful, but it will do less of the things that this 14-inch device is so good at, simply because it's bigger and heavier, so it can't be used for those purposes as easily.
