I used to always use a $25 Walmart trimmer, which I replaced occasionally. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. I ended up buying a couple of Remington clippers and once I was convinced of how good a decent blade can be, I knew I needed the best trimmer for my beard. I chose this one because it looked good, had lots of attachments, came with a nice stand to display everything, had a battery level indicator on the front, and seemed like a great price (which should have gotten me on my guard). ). I still love all the stuff on it but the performance of this one is terrible. It can barely cut through my hair. Wahl trimmers are light years ahead of this thing. I would not recommend it to anyone.
