Terrible product; Worst Customer Service

A truly terrible monitor coupled with even worse customer support. I bought this monitor despite some questionable reviews because I have a Samsung TV and thought other people could use it for gaming while I'm mainly interested in using it for work. Unfortunately, it's even worse for work than for leisure. The brightness is so low and the contrast so poor that text on the screen is barely visible. I have a dual monitor setup and the other is a 32 inch HP Quad HD monitor which is about 3 years old and makes the difference between day and night. This monitor is even worse than the $100 20 inch 1080p monitor I have as a backup. I've tried all combinations of settings and nothing helps. (Most of the settings are Not Available, meaning the firmware wasn't ready when it was released.) I also called Samsung and spoke to numerous representatives. The talks confirmed my suspicions - apparently they hurried with this market, they understand that there are many problems and they do not know how to fix it. Someone mentioned an upcoming firmware update but couldn't provide any details on if and when if it will happen or if it will solve the problems completely. They pretty much just told me to return it, and that might explain why it's no longer available from Revain. Of course it took me about 90 minutes to even get that very unhelpful answer. I would highly recommend people to look elsewhere. This experience was so bad that I will not buy anything from Samsung again.
