Cushions smell like manure and cannot be washed

After unpacking the pillows, I noticed a strong smell of manure. It seems our Chinese friends didn't know that feathers must be thoroughly washed and sterilized before being stuffed. I chose to wash the pillows with a mild detergent according to the instructions and that was my big mistake (I should have just returned them). It turned out that the fabric of the pillow is so dense that a conventional washing machine cannot draw water into the pillow to wash smelly feathers. I did two long washes and the result was this: the pillows stank even more (because they were wet), my laundry room and laundry room also stank of crap, and it took two idle washes and airing out the room to get rid of the smell. I decided to make up my mind and put the pillows in the tub, doused them with hot water and added a decent amount of strong castile soap. I then vigorously walked over the pillows, hoping that my 220 pounds would force the soapy water through the super dense fabric and into the pillows. After 20 minutes of this pleasant walk in hot, soapy, stinky water, I finally managed to replace the air in my pillows with water. What an achievement! I left the pillows overnight and found them covered in brown water the next morning. I have to say that after 2 days of drying in the sun on my patio, the cushions still stank. Obviously, the dense fabric of the pillow does not allow you to wash the product normally. Therefore, the manufacturer's claims that the pillows can be washed are actually false. Now these cute pillows serve as a love field for native flies at a local landfill. So I don't know who will benefit from sleeping on such pillows. I only think of bald men. Bird droppings are good fertilizer, so who knows. Folks, buy things MADE IN US!
