Review on Deepcool GAMMAXX 300 CPU cooler, silver/black/blue by Mateusz Dbkowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I recommend to buy, the product is of high quality.

By installation. I almost made a mistake myself (it turned out that one pin for the LGA 775 did not snap into place - and because of the fan this is not exactly visible), so I recommend: 1. Before installation, remove the fan. 2. Install the cooler, try to "shake" a little - make sure that it stands firmly. 3. Put on the fan. Different pros: For my case, this is just a godsend. Rare combination: 1. tower type; 2. acceptable dimensions for my case (in height); 3. large (120 mm) fan; 4. with quality type bearing. Suitable specifications: 5. power dissipation of 120 W fits my class of processors (as a last resort, I think if there are problems, I will add another fan); 6. auto-regulated rotation speed (PWM). + optional: 7. you can install + add. fan. 8. the price is not exorbitant. I use ~ a week: 9. Cools noticeably better than the previous cooler (it couldn't cope with a 105-watt processor during overclocking - the temperature went off scale: sometimes up to 70-75 C). As a rule, this cooler has ~51-56 C when loaded with background tasks (CPU is always loaded: 90-100%). But in some worse modes (see "disadvantages") Cons below: Rearranged the video card from one slot to another (according to St. needs). For some reason, the heat dissipation of both the V-card and the processor increased. At the same time, under load (of some kind), the temperature of my CPU (105 W + overclocked on the bus from 1066 to 1333) began to approach 62, which is yavl. allowed maximum. But at the same time, the tubes and (even more so) the radiator are barely warm (and the tube and motherboard radiators are hot). I think the solution is to look in the direction of replacing the thermal paste and / or polishing the base of the cooler. In general, while I do not claim that the cooler cools badly, the question is open.
