The original clip has a V shape at the top (see picture). It's not like this. This makes replacing that clip 1000 times harder. You should be able to insert the pin into the window first and then slide it down into the clip by snapping the window onto the clip. 10 minutes to fix. Since there is no "V" in this clamp for this, the window must be placed in the clamp and THEN the dowel inserted. I had to alter this clip to allow the window to drop down far enough to line up with the opening. Then perform a feat that only a magician or a person with small, strong hands should be able to perform. Inserting dowels (yes, there are two of them. Holding and fixing) is extremely difficult with the window installed. If I didn't have to finish this job for the next day's trip I would return this item. Don't buy this. Save yourself some frustration and a few hours of work. Be sure to buy the same as the original with a V shape on top.
