I took this DCA literally. However, I stopped using it two weeks ago because of a blood test and my liver enzymes were extremely elevated (I know it's from DCA because it's been fine my whole life) but this was one of the other side effects, that I have read about. and accepted. I only drank 1.5 courses (two weeks, one week). The first course was 40mg + ALA 400mg + Benfotiamine 600mg + L-Carnitine, the second course (which I stopped halfway through) I increased to 50mg. with the same additives to prevent the side effect of neuropathy. Despite stopping DCA and taking all supplements to avoid neuropathy, here I am almost 3 weeks later and my arms and legs are numb and off balance! For me, as another reviewer said, it's too risky.
