First of all, this is not an air conditioner. It doesn't lower the temperature at all in a small room (6x8). This is a fog fan. Adding ice water to the chamber will give you cooler mist for less than an hour. The room was 82 degrees and left 82 degrees. It "feels" cold standing directly in front of it with the fog and fan on. However, I did a subjective test in my bathroom (the smallest room I have) with full ice. and water and left the door closed for an hour. The temperature didn't drop and if anything I would say the room felt a lot WORSE because it was so full of fog it got very humid and sticky even though it was still 82 degrees. .This is really a 6 inch mist fan; NOT ac. Love the concept that it has a rechargeable battery so it's really portable. What I didn't like was that it only comes with a USB charging cable. So you either charge through your computer or you have to buy your own wall adapter.
