Review on 🔒 Treatlife Smart Ceiling Fan Control and Dimmer Light Switch: Wi-Fi Enabled, Alexa and Google Home Compatible with Remote Control by Ruth Haiar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I've been waiting for one like this for years! Works great, why is it taking so long! 5 stars

Why did it take so long to get something like this on the market? This product is amazing I will be getting more. That's exactly what I wanted. For some reason my builder forgot to install an internal fan controller that would allow me to control the fan with a physical remote. That was over two years ago and when I decided to replace some of the light switches in my house I looked around to see if there was a wireless fan dimmer available. Well look what I finally found and it works great. There are several wires on the back of the switch. They have the following colored wires: Green for ground (usually connected directly to bare copper wire) Black for line (hot wire with voltage) White for neutral (these are common in new houses and you need them) Yellow for (fan load) Red for ( light load) I remember line and load as follows (line hot, load not, meaning line = hot = voltage!) I didn't use red wire as my rooms have lights and we removed the lighthouses from our fans . I use this fan dimmer specifically to turn the fan on and off and take advantage of my fan's 4 speed capabilities. I believe Treatlife has an app on both Apple and the Google App Store but I would recommend looking for the Smart Life APP which also says in their instructions to do it. I use some of their other single pole switches which you can see in the photos. I changed the default icon but kept the default for the fan switch. I'm looking for a fan pic to assign, or I'll download one from the web and select it from my phone's gallery. Connecting is pretty easy. Launch the Smart Life app and connect to a 2.4GHz WiFi network in the app. It doesn't work on 5GHz, and once your switch is installed and powered on, it will blink. Then click to add the Wi-Fi switch to the Smart Life app. He should see the device within 10 seconds. I suggest using only one device at a time while in pairing mode, otherwise you may encounter troubleshooting issues. The device should pair quickly, you will see the device and you can rename it, set timers, etc. When you turn the fan on or off, on the switch itself you will see the LEDs glow all the way up and back to the current fan speed. You can use the timer feature to turn the fan on and off automatically at specific times, and you can set it to work with both Revain Alexa and the Google Assistant. I use Alexa and have Skill set up so I can tell Alexa to turn the fan on or off. All in all, there's nothing better than being able to use your phone to control your wireless lighting and now your fan too. You can also go to a physical switch on the wall to control the fan speed or light dimmer. 5 stars and the product itself is very well made. I've heard people in older homes can be very tight due to the size of the boxes in older homes. My house was built in 2018 and I had no problems with these switches. It's tight because of all the wires, but just bend them to the side and you'll be fine.
