I'm always a bit skeptical of gadgets as most of them don't work as advertised. But I had a request for a fresh cherry pie so after reading other reviews I decided to buy it. The previous reviewers are right. It works well and really doesn't take long to make enough cherries for a pie. A word of caution: some of the pits didn't come out completely. I've noticed this when mixing cherries with sugar, so you need to consider this carefully before baking a cake or other treat. And warn people to beware of the pits.
