Review on 🔥 Aven 17530 Soldering Iron Holder featuring Brass Coil Tip Cleaner by Hugh Starr

Excellent stand, thick metal stand. The cup that holds the metal coil is made of metal, unlike other plastic ones. The receiver is made of heat-resistant Bakelite with a metal tube attached to it. The back panel is perforated for heat dissipation. Bakelite also has perforations for heat dissipation. The weight of the stand is enough to keep it in place. One small issue is the cup doesn't fit snugly so it may take a few turns of teflon tape to fix this. Great price for such a nice stand for my soldering station. Tiny rubber feet glide across the countertop, but when placed on a rubber mat they don't slide at all. To the reviewer who said the solder splatter guard keeps the solder off the table. You don't tap this net like you would a sponge, you simply stick the tip into the net. No splashes, no mess. The sharp edges of the wire will clean the tip with a jab or two. One person I observed picked up the net and stuck the tip in while holding it. So it works pretty well. After some use I noticed that the metal tube that the iron is in gets quite hot, it actually melts the plastic like soldering spools and wicking spools so don't let those items rest on the tube, it still doesn't smell bad.as a review. Of course, if I burn the insulation I get an unpleasant odor, but that's not the stand's fault.
