Yes, it's worth it.

I've flown with and without. I have to say what it is and the cost, it's worth it. I've flown above 1,225,000 feet in many different locations and the range always varies, but this is the area where the signal is strongest. My best day was at 6436ft and I freaked out when the signal dropped, pinched and brought it back. There's still potential lol. I never fly without one. Good luck to all.
