I wanted some dining plates that were 'different' and decided on these. The color I received is as depicted in the listing photos. I've had these plates a couple weeks now and have used them multiple times per day. They hold up to microwaving and washing well. They are sturdy. The plates weigh about 1.4 pounds which is just slightly lighter than my old plates that weighed 1.8 pounds.My husband is undecided about the textured surface. He doesn't dislike it but isn't sure if he likes it. I, on the other hand, find the texture adds to the uniqueness of the plates. I like the way it looks. The texture doesn't make anything harder to cut and it doesn't make cleaning the plates more difficult.Overall, very pleased with this purchase and the quality of the plates.
