Review on ๐ŸŽ’ Mountainsmith Lily Frost Backpack - Made from Recycled Materials by Jessica Rae

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love it but it frustrates me sometimes.

I bought this backpack when my husband and I started a trekking business. I needed a backpack that was big enough to carry my stuff and things I need as a companion and strong enough to take a beating. This package gave me all of that. I like that the main compartment closes with a zipper. At the bottom of the pack, I can quickly get to the things I need without having to unpack everything, which is very useful on a mountain top or in the middle of the rainforest. One thing is annoying: When the backpack is full (and it is in most cases), the main compartment is difficult to close with a zipper. When there are heavy objects in the front pocket that weigh down the beaver's tail, it seems that the beaver's tail is more difficult to control. While I love having that little storage space (to stuff my fleece or shoes) I find it takes more effort to close the main compartment than I enjoy stuffing things in. I have to undo all the compression straps to close it again. But maybe that's my compromise with a backpack where you can open the main compartment completely. . With a little tweaking, we added clips to the backpack straps that securely attach it to the trekking backpack. For this to work (and not strain my back) I need to empty my backpack a bit, but that usually coincides with flying days so most items (first aid kit) need to be checked anyway. I really like this backpack. . It provides the support and space I need to carry my essentials around the world, accommodating myself and my students with ease.
