Confusing instructions. No results

The chart says FILL THE BABY. The written instruction says: JUST A LITTLE BIT. First I poured too much water, quickly drained and poured the right amount. The test did not work - no lines appeared on the test strip. Bought on Wirecutter's recommendation; 20 dollars spent. I have not used any of these pregnancy tests but I hope they are clearer than this one.
