Eco cups are cool! - Paper & Plastic

Okay, I have a love-hate relationship with disposable cups. I love them because they come in very handy for guests or travelers (I can't tell you how many times I've brought a real mug/thermos and then found it in my car a few days later to create my own ecosystem). ). But I always feel a little guilty for throwing so much plastic and styrofoam into landfills. But these Dixie EcoSmart mugs are amazing! They're made from recycled materials, which helps me feel better using them and to be honest, they're strong enough to still stand up to my hot coffee. I read that another reviewer said they leaked and they've been using two cups since, but that hasn't been my experience so far. I would not reuse these cups unlike other paper/styrofoam cups. I don't think they hold up well to repeated use, but they are very functional for an intended single use mug. And I also love that they come in packs of 1000 - a treasured pack that keeps giving away! Please note: they do NOT come with plastic lids if you request them. That's not surprising as it fits the overall 'sustainable' theme and to be honest I use cups more than lids so we always have lids left over from other packaging. I found it fits some of the standard sized lids we've had before, so it's good for when we need it.
