OVERVIEW: Set of 6 lights, WARM LIGHT - These little lights are AMAZING for the task of providing a fair amount of light in a closet or under a shelf. I used them under the shelf to light up the 6 posters below. ADVANTAGES: 1 :) Very well packaged all included accessories, even added 6 extra 3M sticky pads to hold them if you can't or don't want to use the small screws also included. 2 :) The cords are actually about twice the length listed, about 12ft to each light from the junction box, so you can run them up to about 24ft apart. 3 :) The wires are the THINNEST I've found in lights like this, making them a lot easier to hide and slip through small holes if needed. 4 :) The light is nice and warm in color and doesn't flicker. 5 :) Unexpected PLUS: The switch and dimmer are actually part of a separate cable that can be omitted from your setup if you don't need them to save on a bit of unsightly wires. In my case, the outlet I am using is controlled by a wall switch, so a light with a switch would just be overkill.6 :) Very easy to assemble - no instructions needed. MUCH easier than any digital camera I've ever tried :).7 :) GREAT price.8 :) Uses virtually no electricity, about 2 watts per bulb9 :) They generate no heat compared to halogen bulbs or incandescent bulbs :1 :) It is powered by a transformer, not a direct outlet. So a transformer takes up a lot more space than a simple outlet and can cover up another outlet or two if you use something like an extension cord to plug it in. Also, I've found that transformers fail much more often than other lights or appliances, simply because they ALWAYS draw power when connected to the mains. In my case I use a wall switch that turns off the transformer. If the light is off, it doesn't matter, but keep that in mind if you leave it plugged into an outlet all the time. If you want it to last as long as possible and use as little power as possible, disconnect the transformer when the light is off. Overall I love these lights - they are perfect for what I was looking for.
