Crayons only but I wouldn't say heavy 140lbs that's 110lbs. I will try and if anything changes I will update, I don't think I will buy again. Suitable for pens only, no pastels or chalk. I'm glad I bought it as it's recycled paper and I feel like I need to use lots of layers for the vivid colored pencil techniques, but I needed good quality black paper as all I have is a small spiral binding who weighs about 40 pounds. I like to draw correctly and not for practice on good paper and also on thick paper. But for $14 I can't complain about 10 sheets and I also work with matte pens which I hope will show up nicely on this one. Just take a look. If not, I'll let you know.
