My poor old dog would limp after every walk because his paws were scratched by the uneven gravel. They're easy to put on and it doesn't take long for the dog to learn to sit in the trunk instead of holding the paw, which is important for a good fit. At first she didn't like them, shaking her legs but then she got over it and when we got to the sharp gravel area the lights came on and she was happily running down the road instead of tiptoeing along the edge of the road. .
