Review on Swann Garage Parking Assistant Sensor Alert Aid: Ultimate Car Stopper Indicator and Vehicle Park Assist Solution! by Jeff Jordan

When I looked at this item online it was clear that it was in the lower (bottom?) price range for garage parking sensors so I didn't have very high expectations and didn't feel like taking a big risk with the purchase. My expectations were confirmed. The device works intermittently, randomly, or not at all. An old tennis ball hanging from the ceiling was far more reliable, although annoying. When my new garage parking "sensor" detects the movement of a car entering the garage, it quickly cycles through and repeats the green/amber/red stages (in about 2 seconds) and stays red for hours afterwards. If it doesn't work, it just doesn't do anything. There were many items in the box that seemed unrelated to this unit (window decal about Swann Security) and warned me not to return the item to the store, but to look on the Swann website for troubleshooting tips, instead check the Search Internet -site did not return any results. Do a search for this product in the list at all and any search using the word "sensor" will take you to a detailed discussion of other Swann security products. Based on my experience with other motion sensors, I suspect heat is the culprit here, but who air-conditions a garage (especially in Texas!).? As it is now attached to my garage wall with the included double sided tape I will not attempt to return it to anyone. It's going to be another crazy robotic device (like the Roomba) that just does its own thing. I love gadgets and thought this would be a great substitute for a tennis ball. But he's not even as smart as a tennis ball. Let the buyer be alert.
