Not holding strong enough
The clip hole is not notched or grooved, making it too easy for shoelaces, etc. to slip through. In any case, he needs stronger springs. I have to use two locks per string to get enough grip. It's workable, but twice the effort to block. The real purpose of such locks is to make tying rope easier. On the plus side, I like variety. You may also need a variety of grip strengths, as some people only need a light grip. But I need a heavy one. I've seen locks with a stronger grip.
