I did a lot of research to find the right carrier for my pet. Flight. This carrier allows you to open both sides of the carrier so you can thread the leash through first to make it easier to accommodate your pet. In addition, this carrier has a small side zipper that opens so you can pet and/or comfort your pet and give treats or medication during the flight. The side zipper is large enough for your hand, preventing your pet from escaping. The carrier's construction is very solid and seems to take some heavy beatings. I also had no issues with TSA getting the carrier through security. This airline is slightly larger than what most airlines state, but they usually have a stipulation that allows the airline to be slightly larger if it is a soft airline. I had no problems with this airline when I flew American Airlines.
