Better with 20 amp outlet

Despite reviews that the plug gets hot I bought this heater. I'm not an electrician but have been doing my part of the electrical work for 40 years so I decided to do a very simple test. I plugged the heater into a 15 amp outlet and ran it on high for about 30 minutes. The plug on the heating element felt warm (not hot). I replaced that outlet with a 20 amp outlet and ran it at high power. The plug no longer felt warm, but was at room temperature. I believe the outlet is getting hot and transferring that heat to the plug. That's why. 1500 watts consume 12.5 amps of electricity. On a 15 amp outlet, the heater will exceed the limits of a 15 amp outlet, but on a 20 amp outlet there is enough current to handle the 12.5 amps the heater draws. This applies to all 1500 watt heaters, so it's not a fault with this particular heater. Also, keep in mind that a switch typically supplies power to multiple outlets, so you need to consider the total current of ALL the outlets on that switch. Warning. "NEC 240.4(D)(3) states that 14 AWG (wire size) must be protected at 15 amps. You can't use 14 AWG anywhere on a circuit with a 20 amp breaker.โ€ amp switches that allow me to put 20 amp outlets on the walls. If you only have 14 gauge wire, it's safe to use only 15 amp switches and outlets. Two reasons why I give this heater 3 stars. The fan that pushes the heat out of the unit isn't very powerful, so it takes some time for the room to warm up. Also, and this is important to me, the heater beeps loudly when any button on the unit or remote control is pressed. When I get up in the middle of the night (I have diabetes) and make changes to the heater, it makes a beeping noise that wakes the dog up. Then I have to take the dog outside and give him a treat. I've been awake for 30 minutes because of this device beeping. What I don't understand is why they advertise how quiet this heater is when the beeper is significantly louder than the 50db operating noise.
