Review on Liberty Pumps 237 Discharge Submersible by Josh Lewis

I bought this sump pump after Hurricane Ida and my last pump was completely out of service. My house stands over an underground stream and after all these years of stable pumping even on dry days (at least the well is emptied every 2 hours) the old pump finally failed, this pump is in the photo. During that hurricane there was over 3 feet of water in the basement so this pump, along with the Sears submersible pump used for the old pool, was able to pump out all of the water in a few hours after the hurricane passed. I was very happy! This is the third brand of drain pumps I have used in this home since I bought them in 1999. My previous pumps were professionally installed. I don't remember the name of the original pump but the install date showed it lasted 4 years (it failed in Hurricane Floyd the year we bought it), Little Giant was next but after that this brand lasted only 2 and 3 years , I decided to contact a local specialist. The local plumbing store recommended this pump to me, which I purchased and had professionally installed. It's been like this since 2007. This time there was no need to hire a plumber as Hurricane Ida flooded many homes here. The old pump only failed on Sunday. I was able to save water in the fountain with an Alexa-enabled manual submersible pump so that it would only pump for 3-4 minutes every 20 minutes to empty the fountain. This pump is not automatic. Thanks to this connector, I didn't have to invest another $130 (cheapest locally available) for an automatic pump. I figured I would have to do it myself and I could have done it if I didn't have to pump anything so I went with the same model but the stores ran out of most pumps due to the storm. I ordered from Revain this Monday evening and received it on Thursday. I removed the old check valve and plumbing from the old pump, cleaned it and added it to this new pump, installed it in the sump and it worked right away. This is a quality pump.
