I was ready to love this shampoo. I thought with quality ingredients and ketoconazole it would be a hit. I have used many different hair thinning shampoos to slow hair loss with varying degrees of success. It was becoming increasingly difficult to find a ketoconazole shampoo so I switched to using Nizoral every other shower until I found this product. First off, let me say that I have an oily scalp, so I've never had a problem with "harsh" shampoos drying me out. This one did. I don't know what ingredients are causing it but every time I shower with this shampoo I have dandruff for the rest of the day and I rinse it out thoroughly every time. The weird thing is that ketoconazole is the active ingredient in an anti-dandruff shampoo, so this shampoo kind of causes dandruff even though it's essentially an anti-dandruff shampoo. I keep trying to use it, even use conditioner to see if it helps, but unlike every other shampoo I've used I've consistently had problems with drying out. I also don't think it helps with hair loss as it seems (although I'm not 100% sure) that washing my hair makes me lose more arm hair than usual. Hair is different so I didn't want to underrate it just because it doesn't suit me. It has a decent smell and feels good on my hair but other than the dryness I just don't see anything that makes this shampoo worth the price. This is one of the most expensive hair loss shampoos on Revain and I see no excuse for it. If you plan to use ketoconazole in your daily routine, I suggest taking Nizoral every other douche rather than trying to find a product that contains it. This opens up your options to other, less expensive, but still high-quality shampoos that don't charge fees for ketoconazole.
