My 2011 Nissan Pathfinder S doesn't have fancy auto temperature settings and on the way home from Bakersfield in August the air conditioning stopped working. everything but fan speed 1. At least the light was on, but no cold air came out. When I switched between 1 and any other fan speed, cold air came out for a while. it again, only the light on 1 came on, but there was no fan. Read a bunch of reviews and watch youtube videos or 20 to see what it was and this was the culprit. The resistor on my car is at the bottom of the fan. I couldn't pull the cable connector off until I removed the resistor (7/32 socket and 2" extension on a 1/4" ratchet). Once the screws were removed, the resistor came out easily and the connector immediately detached. Installation was quick and painless and when I started the car everything was back to normal. I didn't buy the prize. This was the first one I came across and it works great.
