Review on Quakehold! 4338 A-Maze-ing Picture Hook Set (2-Pack) by Wendy Rodriguez

Large Jump Over "J " Hooks

I have purchased about 70 of these hooks to hang valuable artwork. After losing his house of 5000 sqm. Feet as a result of EQ at Loma Pieta in 1989, I am well acquainted with the power of EQ and its effects. A large value of (7) EQ can speed things up in all directions at Mach 6 and above. Acceleration x mass is equal to the force acting on the suspension in one direction or the other. While specifications are given for an object's size or weight, these specifications are for a vertical static vector (usually downward due to the earth's gravitational pull per given image weight). The instructions are honest and point out that both the magnitude of the force and the direction of the force in EQ are unpredictable when the force and direction are dynamic. Care should be taken when fastening the light with screws in the studs. I found it necessary to use longer screws or different screws than the ones provided to even out the thickness of my drywall and/or metal studs. I suspect the material is polycarbonate but am not sure. The "Greek Key" is much better than the standard J hook, even with latches, as the Quakehold can be screwed into the cleats. The blocks have a tiny hole for a nail to insert into the drywall, which I find counterproductive for this type of product. Where I couldn't find the nearest bolt, I used anchor bolts. As an added measure, I got her Quake Hold! Museum putty on bottom corners to reduce accidental bumps and lateral sway.
