This set was purchased for a week-long voyage through the frontier waters. First impressions were that the bags fit a lot and felt sturdy without being bulky. In practice, they managed to keep things dry and, moreover, got rid of rodents. On the way home my son packed some things in his bag like his water shoes which were wet. Then he stowed the bag without airing it. When we took them out for our next hike a month later the bag was still damp so trust me it definitely prevents water transfer :) Although these bags were a bit more expensive than the ones we could buy in local big boxes. stores, they are definitely better and last longer. If we need more drybag capacity in the future we will buy them again.
