The red auxiliary cable was not needed.

Before installing on my 2007 Vibe, I watched some videos on YouTube and found them helpful during the installation. I didn't use the supplied red auxiliary cable or I need it in my case. I found it confusing to turn it on and the instructions to attach it to the fuse box. I think a more detailed explanation of when this might be required would be helpful. Otherwise, this is a great wiring harness to buy to replace your car's OEM wiring harness with your aftermarket wiring harness. For connections, I used butt connectors with built-in shrink ends.
