I bought these for use on doors that are installed close to the wall perpendicular to the hinge side of the door frame. With these devices, the fine adjustment is not sufficient to keep the door open at a 90 degree angle to the body. The adjustment will either be too wide so the door will be against the wall, or too narrow so the door will creep into the door's opening range by a few inches, meaning that in a situation like mine you will be pushing the door out every time, when you go through the hole. I bought 5 of these and ended up removing them from each door and replacing them with regular hard doorstops that screwed to the baseboard. I was hoping to avoid this, but they just don't work. Unfortunately I just missed the return window as I was out of town last week.
