This really does what it's supposed to do, which is to hold the screw better with a magnet. However, it doesn't hold well enough to drive the screw in without holding the screw. In addition, changing the bits is more tedious because the magnet sleeve has to be removed first. Another problem I have is that it's impossible to tell how deep you're driving the screw in since the magnetic clutch gets in the way. I think it would be theoretically possible to turn it until the ring makes contact with the wood, but that seems like a recipe for damage to the screw and bit if it keeps turning after contact. Another problem is that the holder is very bulky - the magnetic head is at least 1/2 inch in diameter. Eventually, the chrome on the magnet began to chip even after 20 screws. This does not affect his work, but there is something. Thankfully at $3 it's cheap enough not to be a big deal, so I'm not keen on it.
