Review on Enhance Your Raspberry Pi with Kuman's 7" Capacitive Touchscreen Display by Ondra Stathopoulos

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent value for money, a few things to note

I bought this case + screen to take photos with my RPi. The price can't be beat and it works great. My experience is that the installation is not bad, but note that the documentation is not in one document, so you have to pay attention to several manuals that the seller refers to. However, it took me no more than 30 minutes to set it up properly on my RPi. The design of the case could be improved, while it doesn't look broken or nonfunctional, it doesn't have a convenient layout to help hide or organize cables well; everything is super visible and it looks like a time bomb. The RPi fits perfectly in the back, I just wish there was a lid for the RPi so it doesn't just pop open. The screen resolution is perfect for the Pi once the drivers are installed. So take your time to get the setting right or you'll find that the aspect ratio looks a bit odd. My biggest issue with this screen is the contrast/viewing angles. If you want to use it to display information to others (for something on your desk or for people walking around the house/office) this might not be the best solution, you have to be almost perfectly in front of the screen to be able to look at it , which in addition to glare can make it difficult to see the image. But I fully understand that this monitor is not intended or advertised as such a product, so I am not complaining, just sharing information to meet other people's expectations. I hope you find this review helpful!
