I wanted to review this product as I was having a hard time making a purchase decision based on the current questions and answers. This might be the perfect little monitor for some, but not for others. Also, I'm working on a DIY project that requires a very small computer running Windows 10 or 11, so I'm NOT using it for Raspberry. This display works great with my RPi 3b. I couldn't get it to work with just my ssh setup and fbc framebuffer software. After installing the Raspian GUI that came with the display and following the instructions that came with it, the display works great. The touchscreen is sensitive and responsive. turned on and showing which screws go in which holes. Some screws only go through a few layers and not all the way through. I give 4-3/4 stars which is very good for the price!

After just a few hours of use, I started seeing signs of burnout. I wish I could take some photos for you guys, but I didn't think of that at the time. I may have a bad display, I've read most of the other comments and most were positive, but I read another review about a similar problem. Maybe we just have bad displays, but in any case, this display didn't live up to my expectations.

That is exactly what is being advertised. working screen. The support frame is actually made of 4 pieces of plastic cardboard (included). You attach them with screws and tape if you want a half decent looking frame. Package Contents: 1 short HDMI cable and 1 micro USB cable. The product worked as advertised. You must have both HDMI cable and 1 USB connected. They can either have a USB touchport or just power (if you're using a battery).

While it's not a bad screen, it doesn't serve my purpose. 1) The mounting bracket is such that it is not visible unless you stand directly on it. 2) The touch functions will not work if the Pi is running anything other than the Raspberry OS. I am using Runaudio OS as music player and Kumar is NOT supported. 3) Customer service, although answering, is useless in solving this problem. Spend a little more and get a Raspberry Pi screen.

Oh is it a good screen? I do not know yet. First the frame is a 4 piece sandwich cut with a water jet (or laser) and needs deburring to remove the ugly edge, which isn't a big deal and is expected at the price of this frame. A very nice kit that integrates well with the Raspberry Pi. Setup was easy. It worked right out of the box, including the touchscreen, and I never needed the CD that came with it. Capbles are a good length for many of the bezels available for attaching the Pi to a screen. The size is a good compromise - big enough that you can work with just the Pi and the screen, and small enough that it doesn't take up the entire desktop. I am very satisfied and have bought a second one for another project.

I couldn't fully test the product on the computer I want to use just because my motherboard doesn't have an HDMI port. You will need a USB-HDMI adapter for this. However, I connected to my laptop, it's not as bright as I would like, but maybe I can change that. Also the case that comes with it. Sure, the shape fits the ad, but is it what it looks like? Note that there is a brown protective sticker on the black plastic frame. I was very upset for about 30 seconds thinking the case is wood. There are no assembly instructions with the device, which makes it difficult to find instructions. A simple sheet with a few pictures was enough. I like the quality of the product but the 27.00MT chip has been relocated and the acrylic has not been cut for it. The additional acrylic element helped, but not as tight as I would like (also the instructions need updating for the new elements and using the touchscreen option). But the screen is nice and works well, and the acrylic is pretty solid, so I'm happy with that.

I bought this case + screen to take photos with my RPi. The price can't be beat and it works great. My experience is that the installation is not bad, but note that the documentation is not in one document, so you have to pay attention to several manuals that the seller refers to. Look closely at the pictures so you can be sure you know what you are getting. This is a case for a 7-inch touchscreen, but it doesn't turn your Raspberry into a tablet (not really, anyway). Considering the price, I really don't mind how difficult the case assembly was. My painter didn't show up though, it was just plain brown cardboard that they cut out. Painting the facade with a spray can is quite easy, but a little cumbersome. However, the quality of the screen is criminal. The Google Hangouts green, which is a moderately deep green, is neon green on the screen I received. It's also very dark and there are no built-in controls to adjust the brightness. The advertised resolution of 1024 x 600 could not be reached. I've tried various solutions in the config.txt file, starting with copying and pasting the vendor's recommendation. Framebuffer resolution 1024x600 did not help. Strangely, changing vanilla config.txt gives the same result as the modified one. I use MoodeAudio and wanted to use local display. The screen stopped working after 6 months. The computer still recognizes it as a valid display, but as far as I can see there is no backlight or image. It's dead. When it worked the touchscreen wasn't very accurate, it took a couple of tries to actually select what you really wanted on the screen. Plug and play for my use. Nothing fancy but looks good for the size and price. Would buy again. I can't say anything about durability yet.

Everything about this screen is great. Easy setup, clean look and all. Just one thing, the screen brightness isn't as bright as I was hoping. Otherwise an excellent product.

My recently purchased Raspberry Pi 4 cannot be recognized as a touchscreen. The online manuals could not find the error. Also, the cable that came with it was shorted and only provided power when you put it in the right position. Will return. I would suggest another source, my fault is for following the quick deal.

The price of this product for what you get is excellent. The screen is bright and clear. The case is easy to install and the ports are well placed.
