decent performance, poor control, little noise

Review: Massage Gun, WININGO Hand-held Percussion Deep Tissue Massager with Carry Case I find the percussion massagers work well for my large muscle groups, especially my legs. I'm not an athlete, in fact I'm 69 years old and I don't do much sport apart from walking every day. But still, I find that working on my big muscles helps me feel better; and percussive massage allows you to achieve this much cheaper than paying for a massage. So I tried several percussion massagers including reviews of some of them. This has ranged from sticking adapters onto an actual jigsaw (lots of power, lots of noise, plugged into the wall, looking vaguely dangerous) to using some fancy custom massagers. However, the devices I'm reviewing, like this device, are part of a similar wave of percussive massage sets coming to China with brands I've never heard of before. However, the fact that they all look similar can hide the fact that they can be completely different on the inside, in performance, noise levels, and how well they work your muscles. So I'll say how this device rates based on the factors I find most useful to compare. Such devices are similar in that the batteries are internal and inaccessible, so if a battery appears in the serial set of internal batteries, the device will stop working. Fault. The blocks I've seen range from 12V to 24V, which equates to 3 to 6 internal lithium batteries, meaning higher voltage blocks have more power. POWER: 24V @ 2500mAh (claimed) is the highest I've seen on this type of massager. Like the others, it comes with a wall adapter inside the wall adapter. NOISE: Louder than the quietest of its kind, whines a little when a muscle is squeezed. Not super loud, but not as quiet as others. ERGONOMICS: about average for this style. A smooth grip can make holding and applying pressure more difficult compared to devices with a more tactile grip. PERFORMANCE LEVELS: 6 DISPLAY: Touchscreen with blue LED backlight. Requires you to cycle through all speeds to switch, lacks the on/off feature. APPEARANCE AND ADHESION: good; Nice design and colors. CASES AND ACCESSORIES: Very functional and beautiful case. It has a separate inner housing for nozzles, which I consider a plus. 4 attachments HOW WELL IT WORKS: Pretty good, enough power at the lowest speed presses on the muscle where the power is lacking PRICE FOR THE DAY OF THIS REVIEW: $120 (with coupon) STAR RATING: 4 general characteristics.

Pros
  • Deep Muscle Relaxation: This massager can deeply relieve body pain through deep and powerful muscle massage after exercise. It helps to restore the body faster, promotes muscle recovery, improves blood circulation and eliminates lactic acid. It can also be used to prepare the body during pre-workout warm-up.
Cons
  • I don't remember
